Why do we often talk about greenwashing?

"Greenwashing may provide a quick and easy critique, but it fails to address the larger challenge at hand. Anything will backfire." I like Joel Makower's reflective thinking. 💡

It's easy to criticize companies for their greenwashing tactics, but the truth is that many corporations are taking steps towards sustainability. The road to change is not easy, and companies face numerous obstacles along the way, including balancing profit margins with environmental concerns, managing supply chains, and navigating complex regulations.

It is also important to recognize that there are real opportunities for companies to make meaningful contributions to sustainability. Whether it is through investing in renewable energy, reducing waste in their supply chains, or developing new products that are less harmful to the environment, there are countless ways that businesses can be part of the solution.

Instead of labelling every company as a greenwasher, by acknowledging their progress and encouraging further action, we can create a positive feedback loop that encourages more companies to take action.
